Emergency Power On-Demand…

Setting Up Your Project...

1. Home Generator Hookup

Most homes that have a mixture of electrical and gas/propane utilities only need a 30amp generator outlet to power their home.

Take a look at your electrical panel and count how many large breakers there are. (30amp, 40amp, 50amp, 60amp).

Also try to note how old your homes electrical panel is. In order to purchase the right generator transfer kit.

2. Generator Hookup Location

We need to find out the distance from where the generator is going to be stationed when power go out to the homes main electrical panel.

Think of how a wire would have to run in order to get from one location to another.

Note any access restrictions or special circumstances that may raise the difficulty of the project.
