Common Home Electrical Circuits:














15-20amp Electrical Circuit: 120volt or 240volt. Most home lighting and electrical outlets are powered by these circuits.




30amp Electrical Circuit: 240 volt, tends to be equipment like a dryer, heat, A/C, etc.




40-60amp Electrical Circuit: 240volt. Large appliances like a stove, heat, A/C, hot tubs, etc.
